Well, the summer holidays are over, and the kids are back in school. We would like to thank all of our friends & customers for their support. What was a wonderful and busy summer it was!

After being open 7 days a week for over a year, we are shortening our work week. Our new hours are Wednesday through Friday from 11:00 until 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays & Sundays from 9:00 - 6:00. We will continue to be open (by reservation) for dinners between 6:00 and 8:00 on Friday and Saturday evenings. We are continuing our work on the rebuild of the mill's turbines, and the renovation of the building. For the very latest news, check out our Facebook page.

We are still looking for a bookstore employee who has previous experience and is willing to learn book cataloguing for the internet. We also have openings for servers and prep cooks for the restaurant. Experience is necessary. Please drop by with your resume, or submit it online to info@greatbooks.ca

We are also looking for craftspeople to sell their wares in our gift boutique--art, pottery, jewellery, handmade soaps, stained glass, etc. Please contact us to set up an appointment.

Finally, we still have space for community groups who need a place to meet on a regular basis (e.g. knitting groups, book clubs, Toastmasters, etc.). Groups wanting space for meetings should contact Natasha, our Social Director, to enquire about availability. We would like the Mill to serve as a vital meeting place in the community.
